What is more exciting than spending a weekend in Lithuania attending the event of Street Music Day??
Street Music Day first took place in 2007 when the musician and actor Andrius Mamontovas wrote a letter to fellow musicians inviting them to get out in the streets and play some music.
Since then, many people caught on to the idea – it also took place in Copenhagen, Sicily, Paris, Los Angeles, Talin, York and many more great cities! This year, for the 12th time, Street Music Day will be happening on the third weekend of May (17-19).
The beautiful thing is that not only professional or established famous musicians can participate in this festival: if you can play or sing – you are very welcome to join! You can become a participant by simply registering! Play with lithuanian musicians in the streets together! Here’s the link with registration and more information – http://gmd.lt/en
